Thanks for the info [~sandeep.samudrala]. Some questions:

1. are you saying this is being used?
2. if so, how does retention work on the data dir? I'm guessing retention is no-op since it's
feeds base dir.
3. why not use the data dir to basepath/feedname/{year}-{month}-{day} and set retention to
1 instances (or max retention)
