Subject [jira] [Commented] (FALCON-1679) API to get type of scheduler(native/oozie)
Date Mon, 21 Dec 2015 11:40:46 GMT

Pallavi Rao commented on FALCON-1679:

I would prefer add to an existing API without introducing a new one. The most apt call one
is "status".
Example :
default/RUNNING (scheduled on Oozie) OR default/RUNNING (scheduled on Native)

But, that would break backward compatibility. So, plan to add a new flag, showScheduler
Example :
bin/falcon entity -status -name pig-sleep -type process -showScheduler

Only when the additional parameter is supplied, it will display the output as shown in the
example above.

> API to get type of scheduler(native/oozie)
> ------------------------------------------
> Key: FALCON-1679
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FALCON-1679
> Project: Falcon
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: scheduler
> Affects Versions: 0.9
> Environment: QA
> Reporter: Pragya Mittal
> With 0.9 there will be two options to schedule entity :
> - Native scheduler
> - Oozie
> As of now there is no way to know which scheduler scheduled which entity. There should
be a separate api to reflect this or we can add it in existing api.
