Subject [jira] [Commented] (FALCON-229) Enable SSL for Falcon REST API
Date Mon, 28 Apr 2014 18:36:15 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FALCON-229?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13983373#comment-13983373

Venkatesh Seetharam commented on FALCON-229:

bq. are you concerned about OPTIONS method invocation by the KerberosAuthenticator?
[~sriksun], yes, I'm concerned about this exact thing.

bq. If so the latest patch enables that on SSL.
I doubt that since org.apache.falcon.client.FalconClient#getToken uses org.apache.hadoop.security.authentication.client.AuthenticatedURL
from hadoop-auth to authenticate and fetch a token.

{code} new AuthenticatedURL(AUTHENTICATOR).openConnection(url, currentToken); {code}

This is an open issue IMO. Do you agree?
