Subject [jira] [Commented] (FALCON-172) Respect HADOOP_PREFIX in src/bin/falcon-config.sh
Date Wed, 13 Nov 2013 15:43:30 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FALCON-172?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13821436#comment-13821436

Arpit Gupta commented on FALCON-172:

This removed support for HADOOP_HOME which is what works on Hadoop 1. I would recommend adding
the following to the script before we check if HADOOP_PREFIX is set.

This way if HADOOP_HOME or HADOOP_PREFIX is set they will be respected.

> Respect HADOOP_PREFIX in src/bin/falcon-config.sh
> -------------------------------------------------
> Key: FALCON-172
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FALCON-172
> Project: Falcon
> Issue Type: Bug
> Reporter: Haohui Mai
> Assignee: Haohui Mai
> Priority: Minor
> Attachments: FALCON-172.000.patch, FALCON-172.001.patch
> src/bin/falcon-config.sh should respect HADOOP_PREFIX when it is set. Currently it blindly
picks the hadoop binary in the path, which leads to confusion when multiple hadoop distributions
are installed inside the system.
