Subject [jira] [Updated] (FALCON-1) Create packaging and scripts to install and try out Apache Falcon
Date Wed, 10 Jul 2013 14:19:49 GMT

Srikanth Sundarrajan updated FALCON-1:
--------------------------------------

    Attachment: FALCON-1v4.patch
                FALCON-1-site-v3.patch

Thanks to [~shaik.idris], was able to figure the issue. hadoop.log.dir wasn't set correctly
which was causing the JT to not start correctly. When that fixed realized that Job Tracker
offerService was blocking and the tests weren't proceeding. Both are now resolved.

> To get Falcon up and running, it currently require us to bring up hadoop, oozie instances
and also make changes to oozie-site to make necessary EL extension to oozie. The idea is to
minimize these manual steps and to reduce friction while trying out Falcon.
