Hi Srikanth,
thank you very much for your effort on the first release, I'm excited to see it happening!
I gave it a shot and I do have couple of notes:

* I believe that Apache Incubator guide lines do require that word "-incubating" will be part
of the version while incubating: http://incubator.apache.org/guides/releasemanagement.html#naming
* Source tarball is missing all top level files included but not limited to pom.xml, license
or changelog
* Binary tarball is missing some important top level files such as license or changelog

And then I do have couple of nits:

* Source tarball do not contain any "top-level" directory as the binary tarball
* At apache usually the source tarball is the default one and the binary is provided as a
convenience artifact
