Dale LaBossiere commented on EDGENT-222:
----------------------------------------

[~djd] Is this JIRA done? IotProvides includes/exposes such a service. If not done please
expand on its intent. Thanks!

Perhaps EDGENT-378 is the followon work?... exposing the preferences service as a Control
Service?

> Define a paradigm of using java.util.prefs.Preferences to store Quarks configuration
information.
> Proposing a Quarks service with the the Preferences interface as the service interface.
The registered service would be used as the root preferences user node for configuration information.
> Code could then add nodes as needed under the root preferences user node
