JDBC has metadata method [java.sql.DatabaseMetaData.getIdentifierQuoteString().|http://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/api/java/sql/DatabaseMetaData.html#getIdentifierQuoteString--]

That method will need to be hooked in somehow to the server-side session state.
