Alin Winters commented on DRILL-3152:
-------------------------------------

I have the same issue. I am running Drill 1.0 in embedded mode with MongoDB 3.0.4 with authentication
enabled. I can list databases with 'SHOW DATABASES;' but not query MongoDB tables even if
specifying the full name mongo.DBNAME.tablename. I get:

Error: PARSE ERROR: From line 1, column 22 to line 1, column 26: Table 'mongo.DBNAME.tablename'
not found.

'SHOW TABLES;' does not return anything.

Running Drill 1.0 in embedded mode on my Mac with MongoDB 3.0.4 and no authentication, I can
connect to Mongo, list databases, list tables, do a count(*), but a 'select * from table'
returns:
Error: SYSTEM ERROR: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: You tried to write a VarChar type
when you are using a ValueWriter of type NullableTimeStampWriterImpl.

> I have been trying to get Apache Drill 1.0, and previously 0.9 to work with MongoDB 3.0
