Subject [jira] [Commented] (DRILL-1728) Exception on REPEATED_CONTAINS query

Jason Altekruse commented on DRILL-1728:
----------------------------------------

This is an issue with the JSON reader and particular how JSON conflicts with the current Drill
data model. The yelp dataset has a field that in most cases is true or false, but for some
odd reason they also store the empty object {} at this position in some records. We currently
have no way of supporting this type of schema change. Drill needs to produce a more meaningful
error message in these cases. I have been meaning to fix this, so as this is not actually
a bug in repeated_contains I am going to change the title rather than close this bug an open
a new one.

I have opened a separate issue to track the spelling error, it's a minor fix but I don't want
to include it in the patch for this: Drill-1777
