Subject [jira] [Commented] (DRILL-952) Allow multiple sqlline shells

Ramana Inukonda Nagaraj commented on DRILL-952:

I am guessing you are using the embedded drillbit.
That mode is more for experimenting with drill on a single node.

In a production scenario you will have drillbit running and then connect through sqlline,
the JDBC URL will have ZK information. Multiple sqlline sessions work in that case.

> Allow multiple sqlline shells
> -----------------------------
> Key: DRILL-952
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DRILL-952
> Project: Apache Drill
> Issue Type: Bug
> Reporter: Tomer Shiran
> Can't open two sqlline shells in parallel. That's a usability issue. I was able to troubleshoot
just because I knew that Drill starts up a background process. Maybe choose a port number
at random (assuming that's the issue)?
