At this time, the BufferManager is not used by everything else yet. OperatorContextImpl has not yet been converted to use the BufferManager. Once it has been, then a DrillBuf either uses the BufferManager or it doesn't, and this argument can be surfaced on its constructors, and passed through (optionally null) from the allocator's buffer() call. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
