Looks like the problem is fixed in the confluence doc. In the near future docs will be published in markdown format. In this format code cannot have curly quotation marks. > JSON fragments in documentation contain smart quotes > ---------------------------------------------------- > > Key: DRILL-1624 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DRILL-1624 > Project: Apache Drill > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Documentation > Reporter: Chris Westin > Assignee: Bridget Bevens > Fix For: 0.8.0 > > > I was trying to register a file system plugin mapping as per https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/DRILL/Registering+a+File+System , and was using the JSON there as boilerplate (I just edited the file system path). I kept getting mysterious failures to set this up in the web UI. After mucking around with it in various ways, I finally noticed in Eclipse that the JSON string contains smart quotes, which was causing a JSON parse failure. > The sample fragments on this page need to be fixed; others should be verified. http://jsonlint.com provides a convenient way to validate JSON fragments. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
