I subscribed to the mailinglist yesterday and hoped my reply would end up there, but it seems I only addressed it to you. The help on the list is not clear to me regarding sending a reply to a specific message or perhaps a Reply to all does the trick. Can you explain it to me, since the answers might be interesting for the other in the thread :) > Oh, I haven't recognised that. Just send the reply to the mailing list (users@directory.apache.org). > Anyway your addition made me understand what you are trying to achieve with the change. The problem I was facing and probably Alex Karasulu encountered the same is that LDAP studio did not show any connections when started up through the start menu or the quick launch shortcut (FYI I am running LDAP studio in Windows XP). > After a bit of digging I found out it seems a bug in the way shortcuts for LDAP studio are created. Adding the directory holding the LDAP Studio executable ("C:\Program Files\LDAP Studio) to the "Start in" field in the shortcut properties tab LDAP studio is able to find all the connections. > Ok, I think I understand your problem. The workspace is created on different locations, depending from where you start LS. There are several parameters we could set in the config.ini file. For example "osgi.user.area.default@user.home/workspace" creates the workspace in your home directory. We have to check if we need different parameters for each platform. Perhaps you could create an issue? https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSTUDIO Thanks, Stefan Seelmann > Best regards, > > Boris > > > > >> -----Original Message----- >> From: Stefan Seelmann [mailto:seelmann@apache.org] >> Sent: maandag 23 april 2007 20:32 >> To: Kock, Boris >> Subject: Re: [LDAP Studio] Any way to persist a connection >> across restarts? >> >> Hi Boris, >> >> I added a comment to the issue: >> https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSTUDIO-46 >> >> I hope that answers your question. >> >> Kind Regards, >> Stefan >> >> >> >> Kock, Boris schrieb: >> >>> Hi, >>> >>> Adding this would really increase usability, so I voted for >>> >> the Jira.
