Subject [jira] [Created] (DIRSERVER-2100) Zip file does not unpack cleanly on case-insensitive OSes
Date Sun, 04 Oct 2015 23:49:26 GMT
Sebb created DIRSERVER-2100:
-------------------------------

Summary: Zip file does not unpack cleanly on case-insensitive OSes
                 Key: DIRSERVER-2100
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-2100
             Project: Directory ApacheDS
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Sebb
            Priority: Minor

The zip file does not unpack cleanly on OSes which use case-insensitive file names. For example
MacOSX and Windows.

This is because there is a directory called 'dependencies' as well as a plain file called
'DEPENDENCIES'.

This causes zip to complain that the file already exists.

The latter file is not really needed so could be excluded from the archive.
