Subject [jira] [Created] (DIRSTUDIO-1060) Exported OpenLDAP schema has syntax errors
Date Tue, 23 Jun 2015 17:05:00 GMT
Christoph Kling created DIRSTUDIO-1060:
------------------------------------------

Summary: Exported OpenLDAP schema has syntax errors
                 Key: DIRSTUDIO-1060
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSTUDIO-1060
             Project: Directory Studio
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: studio-schemaeditor
    Affects Versions: 2.0.0-M9 (2.0.0.v20150606-M9)
         Environment: slapd 2.4.40 (Debian version)
            Reporter: Christoph Kling

If you export a schema to OpenLDAP schema format, you cannot import it to slapd because slaptest
fails with:

# slaptest -f test.conf -F tmp/
55898c8a drksuewo.schema: line 5 attributetype: Missing closing parenthesis before end of
input
AttributeTypeDescription = "(" whsp
  numericoid whsp ; AttributeType identifier
[ "NAME" qdescrs ] ; name used in AttributeType
  [ "DESC" qdstring ] ; description
  [ "OBSOLETE" whsp ]
[ "SUP" woid ] ; derived from this other
                                   ; AttributeType
[ "EQUALITY" woid ] ; Matching Rule name
[ "ORDERING" woid ] ; Matching Rule name
[ "SUBSTR" woid ] ; Matching Rule name
[ "SYNTAX" whsp noidlen whsp ] ; see section 4.3
  [ "SINGLE-VALUE" whsp ] ; default multi-valued
[ "COLLECTIVE" whsp ] ; default not collective
  [ "NO-USER-MODIFICATION" whsp ]; default user modifiable
[ "USAGE" whsp AttributeUsage ]; default userApplications
                                   ; userApplications
                                   ; directoryOperation
                                   ; distributedOperation
                                   ; dSAOperation
  whsp ")"
slaptest: bad configuration directory!

The problem is that the exported schema misses the required whitespace character in front
of the closing parenthesis of each attributetype and objectclass element. The fix is easy,
just the renderer must be corrected.
