Hi Emmanuel,
I changed line 809 in PersistedLeaf.java. 
My code is:
{color:red} for ( int i = depth - 1; i >= 0; i-- ) {color}

and your code is :
{color:red}for ( int i = depth - 2; i >= 0; i-- ) {color}

My test result is that my code will never reproduce the issue, I tried the scenario more than 30 times.
Please help to review it. Thanks.

Another question is that do you know is there some good way to do the data backup and restore for apacheds?
