Subject [jira] Commented: (DIRSTUDIO-607) Apache Directory Studio won't exit (needs kill -9)
Date Tue, 16 Feb 2010 16:21:27 GMT

BFortin commented on DIRSTUDIO-607:

Since you were not able to reproduce the bug in a very similar environment, I thought that
there might be some temporary file or something on my system...

So I searched in /tmp and found a "orbit-bf" directory, and it contained one file (type of
the file : "socket")

I removed the directory and the socket file, restarted Apache Directory Studio, and ADS was
able to create this directory correctly ("**(ApacheDirectoryStudio:12610): WARNING **: Can
not stat /tmp/orbit-bf).

Then, I was able to stop ADS without any problem!

So it looks like there was some garbage socket file causing this issue.

Thanks for your help - I'm closing the issue.

the bash console), the console reports :
> 30924 [main] INFO - Exiting Apache Directory

so I need to use "kill -9" each time to terminate the process.
