Pierre-Arnaud Marcelot commented on DIRSTUDIO-610:
--------------------------------------------------

I can confirm the issue.

Actually the error is related to the JVM on Windows XP.

We're testing if the parent directory of the file is writable or not.

I've found several threads about this issue:
http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4939819
http://markmail.org/message/mrxp7fshq456gvsk

We can easily fix this bug by removing the checks we're performing on the parent directory.

As we're already verifying that the file can be written (which probably verifies that on the
OS), I think that the checks on the parent directory are not necessary.

> Hi all,
> I was trying to do a CSV export from Directory Studio, but whenever I want to save in
"My Documents" I am unable to, with the message "Selected CSV file directory is not writable".
This happens with all types of exports whener I try to save to "My Documents" or any other
user's "Documents" folder. This does not happen when I select any other directory.
> I did not notice this issue in 1.5.0 on Windows 2000.
