Subject [jira] Created: (DIRSTUDIO-607) Apache Directory Studio won't exit (needs kill -9)
Date Wed, 09 Dec 2009 14:45:18 GMT
Apache Directory Studio won't exit (needs kill -9)

                 Key: DIRSTUDIO-607
             Project: Directory Studio
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: studio-apacheds
    Affects Versions: 1.5.1
         Environment: Ubuntu 9.10 (Linux 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 16 14:04:26
UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux)

$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_15"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_15-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 14.1-b02, mixed mode)
            Reporter: BFortin
            Priority: Minor

1. I open Apache Directory Studio from command line :
  $ /opt/ApacheDirectoryStudio/ApacheDirectoryStudio
  0 [main] INFO - Entering Apache Directory Studio.

2. Then, when I close Apache Directory Studio (either from the GUI or using CTRL-C from the
bash console), the console reports :
  30924 [main] INFO - Exiting Apache Directory Studio.

3. However, Apache Directory Studio won't close, even using a regular "kill" signal, so I
need to use "kill -9" each time to terminate the process.
