Subject [jira] Commented: (DIRSTUDIO-491) Export and Re-Import ldif: "invalid password syntax"
Date Wed, 13 May 2009 21:48:45 GMT

Emmanuel Lecharny commented on DIRSTUDIO-491:

There is no way for you to export your encrypted passords from a server to import them into
another server changing the encyption in the process. Both crypt and MD5 are one-way encryption

You have either to keep the passwords unchanged (ie, keep the {crypt} in front of the current
password), or ask every users to change their password.
