Subject [jira] Commented: (DIRSERVER-1278) Error while trying to create new partition
Date Thu, 09 Oct 2008 23:32:44 GMT

Emmanuel Lecharny commented on DIRSERVER-1278:
----------------------------------------------

The error you got when starting the server is, well, not exactly normal, but you it's a valid
one. You should have only a warning, though.

The idea when you start the server and add a ldif file to be loaded on start, in order to
avoid loading it twice, we store it in a special place on the server (ou=loadedLdifFiles,ou=configuration,ou=system).

If this branch does not exist, we create it, but before, the error you got is generated.

I will change it to produce a warning instead, because it's pretty disturbing to get an error
when it's not exactly an error.

Thanks for the report.
