If you're talking about something programmatic for embedding we can figure something out.
 I think we can have a general ServerListener interface that can be registered with LdapServer,
KerberosServer etc to receive life-cycle events.

If you're talking about something based on the protocol, there's a way to do that with a busy
response but that way you have have to poll the server until it's no longer busy.
