Yes MINA did incubate successfully out of Directory. It had insane potential, community and was just doing well as a subproject. So it made sense to us to sprout it off as it's own TLP. MINA benefits many other projects this way and provides more value to Directory with a more effective and vibrant community. However "WE" can not incubate things out of Directory as a norm or as one of our main functions. This is not the job of the Directory Project. It is not part of our charter. This as the responsibility of the Apache Incubator. Alex
