Subject [jira] Updated: (DIRSTUDIO-55) Adding 'instant search' into entry creation
Date Thu, 08 Feb 2007 23:28:05 GMT

Stefan Seelmann updated DIRSTUDIO-55:

      Component/s: ldapstudio-browser
    Fix Version/s: 0.7.0
         Assignee: Stefan Seelmann

Right Emmanuel, I also don't like such long lists.
BTW: Some window managers support something similar by default (Windows and GTK does). Just
click into the list and start typing.

> It would be very great if we can have a kind of 'instant search' funtion when we select
bjectClass while creating an entry :
> the list can be quite long, and we generally know which OC we want to select. If we can
only type the few first letters and the list is automatically limited to the matching letters,
we will gain a lot of time (and the user experience will be much betteer).
> This kind of behavior can be extended to other lists, like attribute selection for MAY
and MUST, Superior selection, ect.
