hey,

have you tried to tune the JVM?

like :
- increasing the maximum memory with -Xmx=512m
- decreasing the stack size with -Xss=64k or lower ?

Is it a Sun jvm? 1.5.0_06 ? (may be 1.5.0_05 on Mac OSX)
