Strong +1 to moving the Java 5 only SSL filters to a separate JAR.

Trustin - the problem with using Java 5 with those settings is that you
won't get any errors if you use classes in the JDK 5 rt.jar that aren't
in 1.4, as is the case here. Maven does have an option to commpile with
a whole other JDK if that'll help.

PS Alex - you might want to update your address book - your new mails
still go to incubator and slip through my updated filter :)
