[ http://nagoya.apache.org/jira/browse/DIREVE-47?page=history ] Alex Karasulu closed DIREVE-47: ------------------------------- > Create Operational Attribute Manager IBS > ---------------------------------------- > > Key: DIREVE-47 > URL: http://nagoya.apache.org/jira/browse/DIREVE-47 > Project: Directory Eve > Type: Task > Components: interceptors > Reporter: Alex Karasulu > Assignee: Alex Karasulu > > This interceptor based service, IBS, manages LDAP operational attributes like modifiersTimeStamp, modifiersName and other attributes in one place. It obviously needs access to things like the identity/principal associated with the JNDI call. This brings into question how we are going to manage users of the directory within the ou=system partition. > I suspect we can manage directory users, admins and roles off a specific context in the system partition. This may be a good point in time to determine how we will do that. Perhaps we can just use a placeholder property to determine to whom a context belongs. Perhaps a weak reference based association can be used to determine the user a context is mapped to? These can be explored. The best thing though is to just use a placeholder for now. Perhaps we can just default to the admin user until we get the authentication system in place to differentiate between users. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://nagoya.apache.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - If you want more information on JIRA, or have a bug to report see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
