This sounds like an interesting part.  I've been toying with the idea of
writing an ANTLR ASN.1 compiler that generates stubs in any language,
e.g. Java, C#, C++, C.

So I was thinking that it would generate souped up ASTs.  The compiler
would then walk these trees sending events to a handler, aka SAX.  We
would have different handlers for different languages.
