Subject [VOTE] Notice for modules that use W3C DDR APIs
Date Wed, 21 Jan 2015 16:43:22 GMT
Hi,

Here's the updated notice with the necessary parts and phrase as discussed.

It shall either from scratch make up a new NOTICE file where necessary
(e.g. new modules like W3C "wrappers") or to be added/updated in existing
NOTICE files like that of existing W3C DDR implementations.

***
This module uses the W3C DDR APIs described at
http://www.w3.org/TR/DDR-Simple-API/

The source code of those APIs is available at
http://www.w3.org/2005/MWI/DDWG/drafts/api/simple/java/src/

While it seems reasonable to assume that that source code is licensed
under the standard W3C software license
(http://www.w3.org/Consortium/Legal/2002/copyright-software-20021231)
there is unfortunately no explicit license information in that source code.

Users of the affected DeviceMap modules are therefore requested to
make their own decision about whether that code is ok for them to use,
from a licensing point of view.
***

Please vote +1/-1 or abstain.

Thanks,

Werner
