Subject [jira] [Commented] (DTACLOUD-380) CIMI: executing /stop or /start on a machine returns 200 but does not change the machine state
Date Tue, 27 Nov 2012 10:01:59 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DTACLOUD-380?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13504497#comment-13504497

Marios Andreou commented on DTACLOUD-380:
-----------------------------------------

agree with Jesus here - this seems like a duplicate of https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DTACLOUD-367
and https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DTACLOUD-368 - this issue was fixed in commit 5680d8cdb45a38168da3bbdcb0dd71dc55b984a

Using mock driver:

STOP (XML):

curl -v -X POST --user "mockuser:mockpassword" -H "Content-Type: application/xml" -H "Accept:
application/xml" -d '<Action xmlns="http://schemas.dmtf.org/cimi/1"><action> http://http://schemas.dmtf.org/cimi/1/action/start
</action> </Action>' http://localhost:3001/cimi/machines/inst1/start

START (JSON):

curl -v -X POST --user "mockuser:mockpassword" -H "Accept: application/json" -H "Content-Type:
application/json" -d '{"resourceURI": "http://www.dmtf.org/cimi/1/Action", "action":"http://www.dmtf.org/cimi/action/start"}'
http://localhost:3001/cimi/machines/inst1/start

Both of these return the mandated 202 Accepted and querying the machine confirms the state
change.

Did you come across this issue for a specific driver? Otherwise something else that I can
use to reproduce?

thanks, marios
