Subject Updated driver for Openstack v2.0 API
Date Thu, 23 Feb 2012 13:28:07 GMT

Patches 1/2 are couple minor edits that were needed

Patch 3 is the updated Openstack driver. I tested this against HP cloud.
Only 'compute' is implemented for now (bucket/blobs will follow - needs some
work on the rubygems).

Start the driver with ' deltacloudd -o openstack -P "URI_OF_OPENSTACK_SETUP" '
For v2 authentication (Keystone) the URI will be the location of the identity
service and will end with "/v2.0/" (or "/v1.0/" for v1 authentication).
For example for HP cloud this looks like:

When using v2 authentication, you use the username and password and not the
Key/Secret Key provided by your Openstack admin (this is a limitation on the
openstack gem - we can change this if necessary). However, an extra parameter is
required in the tenant name. This is provided together with the username and
seperated by the '+' character (not perfect, suggestions welcome),
"username+tenantName", for example you@comain.com+you@domain.com-default-tenant".

For v1 authentication you just provide username/password as usual.

Please test this driver if you have an openstack setup - there are likely many
issues and undiscovered bugs to be squashed,

marios
