Subject [jira] [Updated] (DTACLOUD-112) Remove 'Attach' and 'Snapshot' buttons storage volume pages for RHEVM
Date Tue, 31 Jan 2012 15:31:10 GMT

Ronelle Landy updated DTACLOUD-112:
-----------------------------------

    Description:
Updating this record: Confirmed that attaching storage volumes to instances is *not* supported
for RHEVM provider. Neither are storage snapshots supported. Therefore, the 'Snapshot' and
'Attach' buttons should be removed from storage volume pages in the GUI.

---- Initial issue report retained below -----------

Attempting to attach an available storage volume to a running instance in RHEVM returned the
following 'capability not supported" message:

curl -X POST -F "instance_id=x" --user "xxx@xxx:XXX" "http://localhost:3002/api/storage_volumes/c1a7a0df-0993-4cba-b8bb-9b9b4b72c691/attach?format=xml"
<error status='500' url='/api/storage_volumes/c1a7a0df-0993-4cba-b8bb-9b9b4b72c691/attach?format=xml'>
  <kind>backend_error</kind>
  <backend driver='rhevm'>

500

  </backend>
  <message>attach_storage_volume capability not supported by backend Deltacloud::Drivers::RHEVM::RHEVMDriver</message>

However, the GUI does show an "Attach" button (currently enabled) for available storage.
