Thanks for your response, I tried putting a log4j.properties in the
CLASSPATH, that caused some java errors. Based on your first response and on
Henning's response I'm not going to worry about the log4j initialization. I
was wondering if there is anything that I should worry with regards to it
having "Parsing file: 'myapp-schema.xml'" in the error output or whether
that is a byproduct of the logging initialization issue?

Usually you get this error when the application using Log4j is not able to
locate the log4j.properties. Kindly make sure that you have this in your
CLASSPATH.
