I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you are asking me.

I can say that the following works:

CREATE TABLE FOO (FOO CLOB);
INSERT INTO FOO VALUES ('foo');
-- the following:
SELECT FOO FROM FOO WHERE FOO = 'foo'; -- eh eh
-- doesn't work as I think you cannot use a CLOB in a where clause (???).
