I did some short investigation on this thing.
It still occurs  in CVS OJB_1_0_RELEASE, so its
not fixed yet. Furthermore it looks like 
http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OJB-27, but it
does not use odmg, instead it uses the Persistencebroker.
At least this is not issue http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OJB-18
as it does not use circular references.
