I though it was for backward compatibility. I have the impression that there are very few Sybase users, only two or so (including us). So there won't be much complaint if we drop PlatformSybaseImpl. If we keep PlatformSybaseImpl, it should become a common superclass for PlatformSybaseASAImpl and PlatformSybaseASEImpl, shouldn't it? At least PlatformSybaseImpl and PlatformSybaseASAImpl should be related by inheritance in some way, because they are identical if I am right.
