hi thomas,

are you the mysql crack ? if yes, what is to correct way to retrieve the
last_inserted_id for a given table ?

1.) SELECT LAST_INSERT_ID()
2.) SELECT LAST_INSERT_ID() FROM table
3.) SELECT LAST_INSERT_ID() table LIMIT 1

on the mysql-site i only find 1.) but the db also accepts 2.) and 3.) at
least in version 4.x
