this would be a typical situation where an sql statement
count test could be used to prove that an improvement has
been made and to make sure the performance problem does
not get re-introduced unintenionally.

If you have some time, you might write one (and tell us
how you like the test infrastructure).  See 
for how to write such a test.

After the ordinary junit tests have run, 
you may start the sql count tests using

bin\build -DuseP6Spy=true junit-sqlcount-no-compile junit-report
