Subject [PATCH] DescriptorRepository now respects non-mapped object inher itence
Date Tue, 24 Jun 2003 18:21:13 GMT
This patch addresses the issue of sub-classes of mapped classes not being recognized as persistence
capable unless specifically added to the descriptor repository. With this patch, if a class
is not specifically mapped, its ancestor class is checked for a mapping. This is done recursively
until either a mapping is found or the parent object is of type java.lang.Object. If a mapping
is found it is recorded on the descriptorTable for the initial class. If no mapping is found,
null is returned.

Let me know if there are any problems or concerns with this patch.

Thanks,
