Reported by: Torsten Schlabach
             tschlabach@gmx.net - (tschlabach@gmx.net)

Platform: All
Operating system: Other linux
Summary: Oracle xLOB (BLOB, CLOB, etc.) handling with Oracle thin JDBC driver has problems
with objects > 4 KB
Description: Trying to save bean member variables with a content > 4 KB (such as a long
String or an image) into an Oracle LOB (CLOB or BLOB) column does not work.
The insert silently fails without any exception and the corresponding data field is empty
with its content lost.
This is often not recognized as long as the objects are in Cache meaning that often enough
the user will not notify the loss of his or her data unless he or she has the cache emtied
by a restart or by the objects expiring.
Status: New
Priority: Medium
