Subject Draft vote notice
Date Wed, 12 Apr 2006 21:36:41 GMT
This is NOT a call for a vote. This is a draft of a future call for a
vote to be posted to jdo-dev when all bugs are fixed. Please read and

Please vote:

[ ] Release JDO 2.0 TCK, core, and enhancer
[ ] Do not release JDO 2.0 TCK, core, and enhancer because:

This vote will be open until DAY DATE-MONTH-2006.

The projects that you are voting on are in the staging
area http://people.apache.org/~clr/downloads
<http://people.apache.org/%7Eclr/downloads>. The tck20 package
contains the JDO 2.0 Technology Compatibility Kit. It depends on the
core and enhancer packages. The core20 package contains the JDO2 core,
including utility and metadata model classes. The enhancer20 package
contains the utility classes used for verifying enhanced files.

The TCK is being released as source. To run the TCK, users must
download and extract the source package and run maven, which is the
driver for test execution. JDO implementation developers will also need
to refer to the test source code to debug their implementation. See
http://db.apache.org/jdo/tck.html for more information.

The bits have been tested and passed.

The JDO 2.0 API project was approved by the JDO expert group and by the
Apache JDO project on 4/3/2006.
