Only four records in my 4,100 records have the same date field but the time
field for each of these four records is 0, 6, 12, and 18 respectively.

Therefore I believe my key is unique.

In addition, it is 'natural' which is much more useful to me when I read the
data

And so, I still have my original question...................

Why does my code not pick up the true 'oldest' record ????
