Try timestamp() builtin function, like <b>timestamp('1992-01-01
12:30:30')</b>. Check out reference manual for some documentation:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://db.apache.org/derby/docs/10.1/ref/rreftimestampfunc.html">http://db.apache.org/derby/docs/10.1/ref/rreftimestampfunc.html</a><br>
<br>
10.0 manual had some issues here. Hopefully 10.1 corrected these
problems and accurately document the feature.<span class="moz-smiley-s3"><span>

so any other format like mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss for example will not be
inserted right ???
  <br>
or is it a way to avoid this problem ?
