Thank you for responding.
I am running the db in embedded mode. No SQL states are returned.
I tried setting it up inside the network server frame and got the same
result
"not found".  SQL states were returned but I don't remember them. I switched
to the eclipse ide and am having better luck there. But for me I think
netbeans
is more user friendly. I just can't afford to waste any more time with it. I
like
the Derby/Cloudscape database so far. It is so small and portable to other
os.
