Hi Gaurav,

- From what I understand one open source option for client/server is
C-JDBC.  It is available through objectweb, which I think has a
different license but I don't know the details.  There is a paper about
C-JDBC the Derby site. (Note: I haven't actually tried it myself).

Derby includes Network Server which uses the  DRDA protocol (which is an
open standard).  Unfortunately,  I don't know of an open source DRDA
client at this time.
