The comparisons are not accurate and somewhat
misleading.  For instance, Derby has a BM and 
does WAL.  Also, if Derby is run in Network Server
mode, it can accept connections from different
processes. Host language support is not limited to
Java when run in DRDA server mode.  One can implement
clients in C/C++ or C# to communicate with Derby.
