Here is my understanding of the current status of this issue:

(I), (III), and (V) have been addressed by the patches applied under this i=
ssue.

(II) will be addressed by DERBY-6236.

(IV) is addressed by a paragraph on the wiki: http://wiki.apache.org/db-der=
by/DerbySnapshotOrRelease#Expectations

At this point, I think I'm ready to write a release note. Let me know if yo=
