Rick Hillegas commented on DERBY-5371:
--------------------------------------

Hi Mani,

In your original email message you say that you are able to reproduce this problem by creating
a new database, populating the tables, then running the app for a couple days. Is this true
for databases created with 10.8.1.2 or is it only true for databases created with 10.5.1.1
which are then upgraded to 10.6 and then to 10.8? Thanks.

> Database boot fails while trying to create system procedures. This was reported on derby-dev
by Mani Afschar Yazdi: http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/db-derby-dev/201108.mbox/%3C803C999D-9943-422F-ACD8-D1E18644634C@jq-consulting.de%3E
Mani reports the following:
> Hello,
> I use Derby extensivly and I have a problem with the attached
> database. DB name is ess_Prism, driver is embedded or net, both have
> the same behavoir. I use Apache Derby Network Server 10.8.1.2 -
> (1095077) in Client/Server mode. It runs on Linux ubuntu. Java
> runtime Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_14-b08).
> I set up the database many times by creating a new one and inserting
> the values. It works for the first few days, after a while this
> strange error occurs (I added some more lines before the exception to
> see what happened before):
