Subject How join order is effected by size of table.
Date Mon, 21 Feb 2011 18:22:25 GMT
Hi All,

I have gone through derby documentation about cost based query optimization.
And I found that derby is using the size of each table in the join, as a
measure to select join order.
But I haven't found good explanation for that. When there is a join
operation to be performed, which table is most likely to be selected as
inner relation? table with less data or more data. Are there any elaborative
articles regarding this issue.

Thanks
Regards.
